Our designer's love for diving inspired this truly unique design. During one of her dives, she bumped into 2 beautiful banded sea snakes and conceptualised this idea that evening, simply fascinated by the beauty of these creatures. Months after, during her trip to India, is when she made it into reality. The silk fabric was block printed first with vegetable dyes, then cured and after many iterations, she came up with the silhouette and how the snake would wrap around the bodice.
True definition of slow fashion. Each dress takes several days to make, as these are individually mud printed by hand and then dried for a day. Once dried they are dipped in 100% vegetable dyes. Each snake has 1000s of beads hand sewn on the thick thread, to give that 3D effect.
